A finish and a new start

It's finished!!  And I enjpyed every single stitch!  If you haven't been by lately, this is Laura J. Perin Designs Color Study: One Long Panel.  Counted canvas is sooo much fun!  They are like a puzzle, you have to build the design layer by layer.  I have a really pretty frame up in the studio that I think will fit this perfectly.  It's a bulky, burnished gold, hope it fits.  I don't have another counted thread project picked out yet, but I'll be dong that very soon.
In the meantime, I have started a new cross stitch piece.  It's a BOAF and uses just six colors.  Fun stitch so far, I've been meandering around the bottom of the design, dropping in the colors.  It's going pretty quickly.
I also found another BOAF that I forgot to post.  It was a quick little needlepoint design.  Stitched on 13 count with Soy Luster threads.  I plan to finish it as a pillow, with a ginghan fabric that I found in my fabric stash.
Well, that's all for today.  I'm off to run some errands, the snow has stopped and we've actually seen some sunshine so the kids and I need to get out of the house.  With no dance classes, no school and no music lessons this past week, we've been homebodies (really unlike us).  Hubby gets in from CA really late tonight so I'm planning a relaxing family weekend.  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!!!

  2. Your finish is breathtakingly gorgeous! Love, love those colors together! I'm a big BoaF follower, too. I finished stitching Sally Spencer last year and loved every stitch of it. I used my name instead of Sally's and added my immediate family's initials and the first two letters of each of my cat's names going back to the first cat I ever had. Hope you enjoy as much as I did.

  3. Thanks ladies.
Robin, I thought about personalizing Sally Spencer myself, but decided to do this one as charted. It's really hard for me not to change something on a project, but I try to remain true to the BOAFs, such great designs.
